Award-winning photographer Kent urges youth to follow their dreams

Meaghan Kent – a very well-known nearby photographer – won the Try: Youthful Pros Group Management Award at the Try YPG sixth once-a-year Algoma Visionary Awards gala held on Friday, Jan. 13.

The gala was introduced by SooToday at The Grand Gardens.

Kent was also nominated for the Young Expert of the Calendar year award, that honour bestowed on lawyer Naomi Sayers.

Kent is no stranger to profitable awards for her perform and local community involvement.

She received the Strive YPG Arts, Tunes and Society Field Award and the Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award at the Attempt YPG fifth annual Algoma Visionary Awards in Jan. 2022.

Marie by Group Votes in 2020 and 2022 and the Gold Photographer in 2021, received the Recollections Flamenco Cayo Coco, Cuba Photo Contest in 2016 and was a finalist in the inaugural Interior Light-weight Photo Contest in 2016.
